When it comes to being diagnosed with a new medical condition, one of the best things that you can do is find a support group. Many times you will have family and friends who are there to help you and encourage you, however it is also helpful to be able to talk to people who are going through the same thing as you. This allows you to share information and experiences and give each other tips.
Below is a list of links to different support groups. These give you a way to share information and give support as well as receive support from others with your same condition. You can also read success stories of other patients to help give you hope when you are having a down day. Some of the links also have support groups for the people who are helping to care for you.

- Daily Strength: https://www.dailystrength.org/group/heart-failure
- My Health Teams: https://www.myheartdiseaseteam.com/?utm_source=GA&utm_medium=HeartDiseaseTeam&utm_campaign=HeartdiseaseTeam&gclid=CPKQprbW4NICFQx6fgodvnQAJg
When you use support groups you do have to create a login to participate. However, you create a username that does not have to be your name, it can be anything you want and this is all people will see when you post or comment. You can also choose which information you share which means you do not have to share any identifying information. This helps to protect your privacy but still allows you to communicate with others.
